The Mill stood alongside a canal, requiring our team to liaise with Canal and Waterway Authorities. Walls alongside the canal needed to be taken down by hand working and with crane and man skip. Ensuring the safety of canal traffic and avoiding pollution of the waterway were paramount considerations.
All tasks had to be completed in close proximity to the main railway line, involving several line closures. Challenging weather conditions were frequently encountered on the relatively exposed site.
A complex job involving taking down an unsafe end elevation, making extensive use of scaffolding in a difficult location immediately alongside the busy A646 main road, requiring a partial road closure and the installation of temporary traffic light controls.
Demolition work within a 6 mile radius of an airport or airfield raises issues requiring close liaison with Air Traffic Control and airport authorities.

We work for many quarrying industries and conform to all the necessary legislation.
We conform with all the necessary legislation regarding the removal of asbestos. We work closely with the Gas, Electricity and water Utilities to protect their structures both above and below ground. We also facilitate the disconnection of services as required. We have worked extensively with the Environment Agency, both with flood rescue and clearance, and the rivers authorities in post-flood cleaning as well as flood remediation. Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices are all produced in-house by our experienced staff.
